How do I keep my cat clean?
You should brush your cat every day. Brushing removes hair that
your cat could swallow. All cats spend a great deal of time cleaning
themselves with their rough tongues and paws that serve as a washcloth
for the cat's face. Cats spend roughly a third of the time they're
awake cleaning themselves. An actual bath is not something most
cats look forward to, but sometimes a bath is necessary. Start
the bathing tradition while your cat is a kitten, and use shampoos
appropriate for kitty. Human shampoos are too harsh for their
skin and hair.
What is catnip?
Catnip is an herb from the mint family. Cats enjoy rubbing, rolling,
sniffing and sometimes eating this plant. In many cats it produces
a feeling of euphoria, while it makes others just want to take
a cat nap.
Does it matter what food I give to my
cat?
Cats are a true example of a carnivore and require twice as much
protein in their diets as dogs. Premium foods provide the necessary
nutrients required for peak health. This food will reduce the
number of trips your cats make to the litter box and improve their
skin and hair condition. Per serving,
the cost is less than or about the same as lower quality, grocery
store foods.

My cat won't use the litter box. What should
I do?
First, have there been any significant changes in your household?
Have you moved? Or added someone new to the household (new spouse,
baby, or new pet)? Have you made any changes to the litter box
(location, style, size, type of litter)? Is your cat in good health?
Check with your vet to be sure.
If your cat hasn't experienced any significant changes and is
in good health, it may be time to recondition your cat to use
the litter box. Confine the cat in a small room (a laundry room
is ideal) with food, water and the litter box. Lack of space reduces
the cat's options and forces it to begin using its box again.
Is it normal for my cat to scratch things?
Scratching is a natural behavior for all members of the cat family.
Scratching provides cats an opportunity for stretching their limbs
and cleaning their claws. Be sure to offer your cat something
appropriate to scratch so he won't go after your sofa.
